Chevron Phillips Chemical names Justine Smith senior vice president, petrochemicals<\/h4>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Chevron Phillips Chemical Company LLC (CPChem) announced that Justine Smith has joined the company as senior vice president, petrochemicals. Smith succeeds Ron Corn, who will retire after more than 40 years with CPChem and Chevron Corporation.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]\u201cRon\u2019s leadership has helped put CPChem on a path for sustainable growth in our business and in how we view diversity and inclusion, people development and safety,\u201d said Mark Lashier, president and CEO. \u201cHe was instrumental in the inception, development, construction and safe startup of our U.S. Gulf Coast Petrochemicals Project assets in Baytown and Old Ocean, Texas. His efforts to enhance safety performance through respect and collaboration at all levels of the workforce and advance the company\u2019s focus on developing a diverse talent pipeline leave a lasting impact on our future.\u201d[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Justine Smith joins the company from BASF Corporation where she was vice president of intermediates, amines and specialties. During her tenure with BASF, she held numerous roles of increasing responsibility including vice president of global oilfield solutions; vice president of regional business management plastics additives in Asia Pacific; and head of strategic marketing and projects in Asia Pacific. Smith began her career with Air Products, where she served in various engineering and commercial operations roles. She holds a bachelor\u2019s degree in chemical engineering from Pennsylvania State University and a master\u2019s degree in chemical engineering from Villanova University.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n

Chevron Lubricants Lanka appoints new managing director and CEO<\/h4>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Chevron Lubricants Lanka Plc (CLLP) announced that Muhammad Najam Shamsuddin has been appointed managing director and chief executive officer effective 1 October.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Shamsuddin\u2019s appointment follows the leadership transition of roles in Chevron Lubricants Lanka Plc, with the resignation of Pat McCloud, who moves to a different role within Chevron in the United Kingdom.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]McCloud joined Chevron Lubricants Lanka Plc effective 1 September 2018, and has led the company to achieve top-line and bottom-line growth in FY2019.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Shamsuddin brings more than 15 years of international industry experience in the oil and gas sector, joining Chevron in 2004 and moving through multiple positions of increasing responsibilities in Pakistan, the Middle East, and several markets in Asia.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]\u201cThe Chevron Lubricants Lanka team is strong as demonstrated by the company\u2019s improved performance and strong results in a period of great adversity,\u201d said Chevron Lubricants Lanka Chairperson Rochna Kaul. \u201cWhile we will miss Pat in Colombo, Najam\u2019s leadership and knowledge of the industry will prove to be a great benefit to the company.\u201d[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Prior to joining Chevron Lubricants Lanka Plc, Shamsuddin was the area business manager for Chevron\u2019s Asia Pacific Cluster markets, a position he held since April 2019.
